The aggregate result is closer than it has been recently, but Royal Sutton Coldfield’s strength in depth enabled them to hold on.

However, it was pleasing to see so many Clubs involved in the awards this year, as teams as well as individuals.

This year there was an unusually high number of ties on points. As stated in the handbook, the league rules are that results from all the races are then examined, to see who beat whom most. As this year there were only four races, due to the weather in January, this did not always resolve the matter, in which case the final race result was used.

To all the Clubs who hosted meetings this year, our grateful thanks for providing the venues for some exciting races.
