SUMMER SPRINT SERIES DISCONTINUED

After careful and considered discussion it has, unfortunately been decided that the Summer Sprint Series will be discontinued. A number of facts were considered mainly: -

  1. the number of athletes that had taken up the opportunity had been disappointing
  2. the number of meetings that were needed to make the Series feasible had not been met
  3. the fact that the Birmingham Games will be a one day meeting, making timetabling more difficult
The Midland Counties AA, England Athletics (West Midlands and East Midlands Regions) wishes to thank the clubs and individuals for their support over the previous two years of this initiative. Our apologies for any inconvenience that this may bring to clubs on their plans for the coming summer by this unfortunate decision.
